The 18 fair halls and the Galeria of Messe Essen cover an exhibition area of 110,000 m². The outside area comprises another 20,000 m². As a result, Essen is the eighth largest fair venue in Germany.
The Essen fair programme contains 12 international leading fairs and, with numerous leisure activity fairs, it is the leader in this sector.
Thanks to the direct link between the fair halls and the three Congress Centers, their useful areas can readily be extended, for example for exhibitions flanking congresses.
